Projet Scientifique

Les travaux menés dans l’équipe "Action et Interaction Sociale" (AIS) emploient une approche clinique (neuropsychologie, psychopathologie cognitive), expérimentale ou développementale (dans une perspective life-span). L’équipe AIS étudie les mécanismes perceptifs, moteurs et cognitifs qui sous-tendent les interactions des individus avec leur environnement physique et social. Cette vaste question de recherche est segmentée en deux sous-thématiques, les individus pouvant interagir avec leur environnement physique ou leur environnement social :

Thématique 1. Action. Les travaux de l’équipe sur le volet "Action" visent à étudier la sélection et l’exécution d’actions. Cette finalité suppose l’intégration, donc l’étude, d’une série de processus allant de niveaux perceptivo-moteurs (e.g., intégration multi-sensorielle, schéma corporel, perception et sélection des affordances, anticipation motrice) à des niveaux plus cognitifs (e.g., dynamiques attentionnelles, fonctions exécutives, mémoire sémantique et catégorisation d’objets) mais aussi émotionnels et motivationnels (e.g., influence de la valence émotionnelle des stimuli, ou du caractère autodéterminé des actes, sur les performances).

Thématique 2. Interaction sociale.Les travaux de l’équipe sur le volet "Interaction sociale" visent à étudier quels sont les indices utilisés ou produits par les individus pour réguler leurs comportements au décours de leurs interactions avec des pairs. Cela revient à étudier, d’une part, comment le contexte (notamment social) influence les performances étudiées sur le volet "Action", et d’autre part, quels sont les mécanismes perceptivo-moteurs et cognitifs susceptibles de sous-tendre plus spécifiquement les interactions sociales. Ceci recouvre par exemple des travaux portant sur le traitement du mouvement humain ou des visages, la communication verbale et non verbale (e.g., compréhension de la prosodie émotionnelle et de gestes symboliques), la cognition sociale (e.g., théorie de l’esprit, empathie, comportements prosociaux), ou encore la régulation de l’action en situation d’attention ou d’action conjointe.
